thx Tor developing that app. its easy to set up and ez to use, as well. works fine with my pc.
it would be wonderful if future versions would give the possibility of managing more than one pc.

Hi Markus,
I can’t get it to work either to wake up my iMac. How do I set the wake-on-Lan setting on my iMac?
How do I tell if I can connect to the iMac with my iPhone?
Will it work if I have multiple users on the iMac, which requires a login screen, or do I need to eliminate that log-in screen?
Thanks for your help, I love the simple big red button. Would love for it to work.

@Some IT Guy: Awake Plus is exactly the same as Awake BUT it doesn’t feature the Ads! I saw many people complaining about Ad-Ware so I thought, I give them a choice. Furthermore, I know tha WoL just doesn’t work on some machines and noone knows why…so I figured that a testversion for free is a good idea.

Awake Plus will be enhanced with many more features in the furture – some of which Awake won’t get! So, as time goes buy the Plus will in awake Plus will be more obvious. Right now, AwakePlus is a googd way to support me and help fund further development! :-)

@Jon: Unfortunately I have neither Windows nor a Linksys WRT54Gv3 here to test this setup. So, what you can do is, as IT Guy mentioned, to make sure your settings for accepting WoL is correct. Furthermore, make sure your Router let’s packets on highports pass! Awake uses Port 60000. If this is a problem due to security reasons, I will make the Port configurabloe in the next release – just let me know!

Next thing: Awake uses broadcasts to send the Awake-Package. That is to make it easier to configure (you don’t have to know the destination IP). Your router has to allow this, too! Maybe, this helps…

Did you make sure you enabled WOL/Remote Wake in your systems BIOS?

Question for the developer: What’s different in AwakePlus? (I noticed it in the store today, but the description is the same as the free version.)

Just downloaded this, but I cannot get it to work. I am trying to wake-up a Windows Vista Ultimate system that has an embedded Nvidia nForce networking adapter. I have verified that I entered the correct MAC address into the application, but nothing happens when I send the wake-up packet. The Vista system is connected to a Cisco PIX 501 and the iTouch is connected to a Linksys WRT54Gv3 running Tomato. The Linksys is directly connected to the PIX, and all devices are on the same subnet (192.168.1.0/24)

Anyone else having problems getting Vista to wake-up with WOL?

tja…so langsam hab ich auch das Gefühl, das wird da wohl nix mehr. Aber man soll die Hoffnung ja nicht aufgeben und ganz allgemein kann man schon eine Tendenz zu kürzeren Review-Zeiten feststellen…

Hach ja…Don’t Touch…nein, leider ist das nicht gemeint. :-( Das hängt immer noch faul im Review-Prozess bei Apple rum…keine Antwort auf meine Anfragen warum das solange dauert, keine Info’s, ob es jemals kommen wird…
