TouchScan Manual

TouchScan is pretty easy to use but you need to know a few secrets! Since Version 1.2 you are able to use more than one scan result. Which result is actually shown at the end of the scan is determined by the position of your/the upper thumb. In order to understand this more easily, lets just have a look at the screen and the areas:

The upper half of the screen (blue) , just above the text, is the “operator-area”. This is where you are supposed to place your thumb. That is to make sure that the scanned person can read the text-outputs easily. The lower half (red), right between the home-button and the text, is the “subject’s area”. Here the person you want to scan is supposed to place his/her thumb.

To select one of the two possible scan-results, the upper half is divided in two section. If you place your thumb in the area marked with the number 1, you will get result 1. If you place your thumb in the area marked with number 2 you get, you guessed it, result 2. If you place your thumb around the middle, its hard to tell in which area you actually are. For this reason there is a tiny indicator placed in the upper left of the screen. If result 1 is selected, there is one green pixel shown. If your thumb is in area number 2 and hence result 2 is selected, two little pixels will be shown.

But be carefull! Once the scan started, you can’t change your choice!
