Awake-Update finally in review

Just a quick note to all people who mailed me about problems with Awake and iOS 4: An update fixing the crashes is finally in review!

Besides the fixes I also changed Awake a bit. First there will be only ads for our own Apps in it, no more AdMob-Ads. So, hopefully all those users saying I wrote a piece of spy-ware are willing to change their review? We will see…

And secondly, Awake should now work with some devices (Router/Mac/PC-Combo’s) via WLAN! So, with some setups you might not need a cable connection for the device you try to wake! I currently can’t predict what works and what not, so don’t be disappointed when it won’t work for you.

And to all People who didn’t send an e-mail (99%) but spammed the AppStore-Comments: You *do* know that I can’t answer to those comments to ask you for further assistance, right? Just asking…

iMekka 2 is ready for sale!

We’ve been working on iMekka for a couple of weeks now in silence, hidden in the office. :) But now iMekka 2 is ready for you to explore. iMekka 2 has way better graphics than before and it now not only shows you the direction to Mekka but it gives you the exact prayer times for your current location. Don’t worry about timezones anymore. iMekka 2 calculates the correct prayer times so you don’t have to.

Besides this, iMekka also got a new programmer. iMekka 2 was developed by Fabian Kreiser! As a result, it’s a completely new app as far as the App Store is concerned, which would mean that you would have to pay to get the upgrade. But we think, updates should be free, even if the developer changes! So, we made iMekka 2 available for free for the first week! This way we would like to say Thank You to all our existing customers. Download your new copy of iMekka 2 today!

Say Hello to Jean-Pierre!

Everbody, say hello to our new Partner in the Software Diner: Jean-Pierre Gensert. He is our local Entrepeneur, the man behind new App-Ideas and enterprises. :) Besides that he’s the Mega-Marketing-Machine that made iMekka one of the best selling Mekka-Apps out in the AppStore! Chances are you’ve seen his work somewhere all over the world from New York over London to Paris.

We are happy that he now joins the Team to share his experiences as an iPhone-User and App-Tester with us and you, of course. So, from now on every now and then JP will post some App-Reviews, his thoughts on the state of the world or his favourite cookie receipes…we will see!

Thanksgiving = Thanks for Giving :) [Update 2]

The big ones in the AppStore seem to be very very thankful this year. Guess they all made a penny or two selling their games on the AppStore. ;)
Anyway, for the rest of us this means a lot of fun during the holydays and beyond. The big ones like Namco, Electronic Arts and Gameloft reduced many of their titels to as low as $0.79! So, just get wild and buy some…
