Apple announced that all Apps have to run on iPhone OS 3.0 to get into the AppStore. Of course we are allready testing our Apps on compatibility with OS 3.0. So far, tests have been very promising and no major problems should arise while using our existing software on a 3.0 device.

However, we will use this oppotunity for some sort of spring cleaning and smaller enhancements here and there. So, stay tuned for some updates for our apps once 3.0 is released!

Oh and by the way: If you don’t want to upgarde to OS 3.0 you don’t have to! We will do everything to keep our apps using the oldest OS possible for the features we need! So, many of our apps will keep having OS 2.0 as a requirement!

And, finally, they say that beginning of may the contracts of all developers can be renewed for another year. So…we will be able to continue our work and continue to support all of you! :-) And remember: If you like our software, spread the word (ie. by writing a review in iTunes). If you don’t like our software, tell us! Only then we are able to improve it for you! :-)

A few days earlier we allready switched of the iPod-View of our website. The reason is simply that you can’t switch between languages easily while you are surfing our site on the special layout. Since we invested some money to have our site translated to french, we want our french-speaking guest to see the pages! :-)

So, I decided to shut it off and now we are going to simplify the structure of the site to make it easier to navigate with the iPod.

So…Bienvenue to all you french speaking iPhone-Users! Unfortunately we didn’t learn to speak french over night – instead Jérôme Chion helped us out with this and did the translation.

We will continously add french translations one by one and finally we will also add french version of our apps to the AppStore…just takes a little longer.

Apple slays the dragon – Never Odd Or Even LLP.

After reading this I gave my ownnumbers gathers since late october last year a closer look and in fact it looks alsmost identical to the graph PM is showing. If you spread the money I made by advertizing over the units downloaded I got around 2 US-Cent per Unit, leaving about 1 cent after taxes! Wow…impressive, isn’t it? ;)

On the other hand the money I made with advertizing was three times the mones I made with the ad-free version of Awake. Well but if you consider that Awake itself is one of the better suited applications for advertizing since you probably use it several days a week repeatedly, this whole advertizing-experiment is a big failure in my opinion.

Right now I’m thinking about combinig both versions of Awake to just one that is sold for $0.99 only…maybe that’s the best way to go. We will see!

(For the US-Westcoast this is about 9 hours earlier between 4:00 and  9:00 pm. On the US-Eastcoast this timeslot falls between 9:00 pm and 0:00 am.)

We are still alive and busy working on the next releases of our software. Up our sleeves is a new offspring of MeinBudgeT that will also be available in countries other than Germany, we just released a new update for TouchScan and are allready working on the next one there. Rumor has it that there might be a completely new Version coming, something more like a succesor than an update…

Awake and Awake Plus will also learn a new trick soon: by popular request we will add the possibility to change the port. This might be of use for you if you happen to have high ports closed on your router for security reasons. If you don’t understand what I’m talking here, you probably won’t need this feature. ;-)
